Classes we offer:

Beginning Adult Aikido

All you need to start Aikido is a basic interest and desire to learn.  The willingness to maintain a beginner's mind is the secret of lifelong practice and progress.  Our beginning aikido classes welcome students of all abilities and levels and help students learn the basic foundational structure of aikido and basic body awareness.  Students begin by learning how to roll and fall safely and then quickly progress into learning basic techniques and ukemi (the ability to receive a technique) practice.



Advanced Adult Aikido

Our advanced aikido classes contain the highest level of training offered at Bend Aiki Martial Arts.  Classes cover a wide variety of techniques, including the throwing and pinning arts this can be very physically demanding at times.  During advanced classes we also spend a great deal of time studying the underlining energetic nuances of Aikido and movement. Depending on the class size and ability we often cover topics such as weapons, multiple attackers, reversals and randori.  Students should feel comfortable taking advanced ukemi and doing high falls while keeping themselves and their partner safe.

Kids Aikido

The Bend Aiki Martial Arts Kids Aikido Classes are structured around the first principal of Aikido, which is to blend or harmonize. We emphasize respect for ourselves and others, group cooperation, self awareness and conflict resolution, children learn to work with others in a safe, positive and healthy environment.
